Frozen Pizza

I love the convenience of having pizzas in my freezer for quick meals when there is no time to cook, however I have never tasted a frozen pizza that was as good as my own. Now I make my own pizzas, freeze them and always have one on hand for quick meals.

I also make small pizzas that fit into my vaccum seal bags and seal them for long term storage. They can be quickly cooked in my toaster oven for quick lunch or dinner. Great for singles who don't want to cook a large pizza for just one.

Basic Procedure:

You can use a traditional pizza dough or my quick dough recipe.

When making a pizza, prepare enough dough for two pizzas. Make one pizza to eat immediately and make another one at the same time to freeze for later. Its a great way to cook once and eat twice!

For Pan pizzas:

Prepare the pizza dough, then spread it into your pizza pan. Bake the pizza in your oven preheated to 425°F for 5 minutes. If you are doing a very thick crust you may need to cook it a little longer.

Let cool for a couple of minutes, then top with sauce, toppings and cheese. Wrap with aluminum foil being sure to make it as air tight as possible to avoid freezer burn.

When ready to eat, remove the foil and place pizza pan on the middle rack of your oven and bake at 425°F for approximately 15 minutes - until heated through and the cheese is golden brown.

For thin, crispy crust pizza:

Prepare you pizza dough, then roll out or stretch by hand until the dough is about 1/4 inch thick. Place dough on a pan and bake in your oven preheated to 425°F for 4 minutes.
