Italian Cooking Methods


By mastering some important Italian cooking methods, you will soon be creating your own wonderful Italian dishes.

Italian food can be rich and intensely flavorful, making it seem as if the preparation must be very complicated. I was quite intimidated at first, but with some basic direction and a little practice, I found many wonderful dishes surprisingly easy to prepare. Some of the cooking methods needed to prepare delicious dishes are really quite easy once you have practiced a time or two.



Italian cooking has been influenced by other cultures throughout its history, therefore it includes many basic cooking methods used by other countries; for instance basic stocks for soups and sauces. Other cooking techniques, however, do originate from Italy and are specific to their cuisine.
